Windows 98 was released on jun 25, 1998. This is considering as the windows 5.0 version. This was specially designed for consumers. It was the first version of Windows designed specifically for consumers. In that time PCs are common at work and home, and Internet cafes .Windows 98 was described as an operating system that “Works Better, Plays Better.”It became more easy to find information on PC and as well as the internet. It included the improvements like the ability to open and close programs more quickly, and support for reading DVD discs and universal serial bus (USB) devices. Another important thing is the Quick Launch bar, which lets to run programs without having to browse the Start menu or look for them on the desktop.
